Mae Taeng Elephant Park Clinic and The Chedi Hotel, Chiang Mai
The management and staff of Mae Taeng Elephant Park were pleased to welcome the new General Manager of the Chedi Hotel, Chiang Mai and his wife Angela for a guided visit to the Park.
The Chedi Hotel, Chiangmai, has always supported the Elephant Hospital at Mae Taeng Elephant Park and over the past 3 years has helped MaeTaeng Elephant Park raise the money to construct the hospital. Patrick, the General Manager, has now left Chiangmai and will open a new Chedi Hotel in China and the new General Manager, Mr. Stefan Noll came for a visit on Tuesday 22nd November 2011. Stefan, and his wife Angela, experienced the Mahout Training Programme and visited the hospital where they were introduced to the resident vet, IM, who explained the various treatments available at the camp for sick and injured elephants from the Mae Tamman region.
Mae Taeng Elephant Park is pleased to announce that The Chedi Hotel, Chiangmai will continue to support the elephant clinic.
Also on Tuesday the Park had two students from Sweden, Marta and Alexandra, who have been volunteers for a week at the camp .They are in Chiang Mai studying Home Stays for their Bachelor degrees in Sociology. In total, they will spend 9 weeks in Thailand. The next 3 weeks will be at Mae Jo University.
