More New Arrivals at Maetang Elephant Park

Our latest arrival, Mother and baby... new additions to our herd.

Meet Mae Bua Kam; she is 35 years old and has given birth to her third calf
The baby male calf was born at 01:30 a.m., on Friday 10^th February 2012.  He weighed approx 90 kg at birth.

Mother and baby are doing well despite giving birth to her calf unaided.

Mae Bua Kam is the mother of SIRNON, one of our talented painting elephants here at Mae Taeng Elephant Park. Her second calf, DANBO, unfortunately died at an early age.

Mae Taeng Elephant Park are proud to announce three more pregnancies:

PUNG BOUGUM due to give birth any day now
Pung Bougum is 30 years old and has had two other babies, one of which died of a virus infection at Lampang and the other is Srinon one of our show elephants.

PUNG KEAWPEUK baby due about April 2012
Pung Keawpeuk is 22 years old and has two other births.  The first one died shortly after being born and the other is named Seven.  Seven used to be one of the show elephants but has since been sold.

PUNG NONGNEW is showing signs of pregnancy, but the due date is unknown.
Pung Nongnew is 15 years old and this is her first pregnancy
